Growing up in country NSW, I was fortunate to watch my parents run a successful building company. Their dedication to quality work and genuine client relationships left a lasting impression – one that inspired not just me, but both of my older brothers, to eventually build companies of our own.
After completing my carpentry apprenticeship in Goulburn, I spent several years working in Sydney, broadening my skills and experience across a range of projects. It was there I met my wife Emily, a proud Newcastle local. It wasn’t long before I made the move north to continue my trade – and I quickly knew this was where I wanted to put down roots, both personally and professionally.
The business started small – just me for the first few years – but through consistent hard work, word of mouth, and a genuine focus on client relationships, it has steadily grown into the team we have today.
Outside of work, I’m a proud family man and father to two amazing girls. Supporting them and Emily is my greatest priority. We love exploring the coast on weekend getaways, and I’m a passionate NRL and rugby union fan.
Our
Build Process
We’re down-to-earth, open, and honest – and our clients feel that from day one. Our goal is to make the whole building process feel less stressful and more like a genuine collaboration, from the first conversation through to the finished result.
Initial Contact + Consultation
Once I receive a call from a potential client, I arrange a free meet-and-greet. This first meeting is about understanding the “why” behind the project — what the client is trying to achieve and how the space needs to function for their family. I also provide a builder’s perspective on how proposed plans may be constructed and often suggest practical ideas that clients or designers may not have considered.
Planning + Documentation
I strongly believe in getting the plans right early to minimise costly variations during construction. After the first meeting, I gather all necessary documentation and specifications required to prepare a detailed and accurate quote.
Quoting
Quotes are thorough and inclusive. Because of the time and detail involved, the quoting process is chargeable, with fees varying depending on project size. As a guide, a large renovation or extension quote is generally around $1,500, which is deducted from the final contract total if the client proceeds.
Contract
We use the industry-preferred Master Builder contracts, designed to protect both parties and provide complete peace of mind. We encourage everyone to read through it carefully, and we're always happy to answer any questions before signing.
